Could be he was wasting his time, and she was so hung up on Logan Boyd, he’d never measure up. But it wasn’t in him to quit trying. She obviously didn’t like the macho side of him, and that meant somewhere deep inside he’d have to dig up Romeo.
Romeo. Courtesy. Gallantry. He had to become the guy a girl dreamed of.
TIME GOES BY and with it, memories. My first YA novella, I wrote to see if I could, and that book, "Me & Timothy Cooper" remains my best seller. This book was the fifth one (YA) I wrote. Before it were "I Kissed the Boy Next Door", "The Best Week of My Life", and "Of All The Ways He Loves Me." These three you can buy under one ebook cover titled, "The Romance of Summer." I'll put the sales links below. But point is, I'd discovered something. My love for the novella. They are all around 19,000 words. And it is possible to write romance for teens that sends the right message
I say this about all my YA books. "Romance parents can trust." My heart is to present a story a young girl loves and the parent doesn't need to look over her shoulder. All situations are framed by God's Word and minus any situations that would glorify the work of the devil. There is tension and attraction, but ... Well, you should just read it, and you will know.

The Rest of the Scene:
Kate crossed her legs and folded her hands over her knee. “I’ve been waiting for you to wise up. I just never figured it’d be over a girl, leastways one you hadn’t ticked off.”
He winced. He, sort of, had. “Tell me the truth. Is there any possibility?”
She smiled and patted his cheek. “Maybe if she’s smart enough to see my little brother is great beneath all the crap. A little prayer wouldn’t hurt either,” she added.
“Prayer?”
Kate bobbed her head. “Not, ‘Dear God, bring her to me. I have to have her.’ But ‘Dear God, make me the man I ought to be.’”
Good advice. He should have prayed that long ago. Maybe she would have seen him by now. Then again, none of this started until they’d locked lips in the closet, and even then, it wasn’t the kiss itself that changed him. But something way deep inside that said they simply had to be together.
She was the one. He just knew it.
